Applied to money (use this to trick parents):
$1.00 = 100c
100c = 99c + 1c
100c = 99c(2/2) + 1c
100c = 0(99c)/2 + 1c
100c = 1c
$1.00 = 1c

Proof 2:
$1.00 = 100c b/c 10c = $0.1
= (10^2)c
= $(0.1)^2
= $0.01
= 1c

You can now give your parents a penny and ask for a dollar
