STAR Testing, Day II

Today was the second day of STAR Testing, as all of you in Californian public high schools know. It was almost as boring as the one yesterday, mostly because they gave us just a little too much time.

Math parts I and II were relatively easy, primarily focusing on quadratic algebra and geometry (the Summative High School Math test, that is). We were given about an hour too much time, and just about everybody had finished early.

When asked, the exam proctors said that even if all of the people in the room finished, we wouldn’t be allowed to talk and move around, which was kind of interesting. Seems that STAR really wants us bored =(.

Hopefully tomorrow’s test will be somewhat interesting, and not as bad as the one today. fingers crossed. On another note, Class Officer campaigns start tomorrow, should be a good show.

    Fail.
1.) Not all public schools have to do STAR testing this week fyi.
2.) lol gg proctor… everyone in our room finishes at least 20 minutes early, so wilson’s basically been giving us extended 30 minute breaks =D

  2. Robert Ying says:

20 mins? only? we finish 1hr 20 mins early
    at the least.

  3. Aditya says:

Dude, each section was in blocks of like 1.5 hours, stop exaggerating that much =D
But there are always the slowpokes who hold everybody back, but juniors also have to fill in several extra questions to help our applications for early/advanced entrance to certain colleges.

  4. Robert Ying says:

Well, I know Chem took me 10 minutes, flat, per section. Probably most of the people were done by 30 minutes, in every subject. Do colleges even read that stuff?

  5. Aditya says:

Well, the extra sections we had were kind of a pass/fail thing that if we do well enough, we can skip some intro level math/english courses in college based off these results.
